This amount represents the Employee’s guaranteed minimum monthly compensation, regardless of production.
Example: Modest / Average Monthly Production
The following example reflects a modest to average monthly production level within the practice and is provided for illustrative purposes.
- Monthly Production:
$27,500 - Production Value at 28 Percent:
$27,500 × 28% = $7,700 - Comparison to Guaranteed Base Wage:
- Guaranteed base: $6,784
- Production value at 28%: $7,700
- Difference:
$7,700 − $6,784 = $916 - Bonus Earned:
28% of $916 = $256.48
Total Monthly Compensation (Example)
- Guaranteed base wage: $6,784
- Bonus: $256.48
- Total monthly compensation: $7,040.48
Equivalent Hourly Rate:
$7,040.48 ÷ 128 hours ≈ $55.00 per hour
Higher Production Potential
The calculation above is intentionally based on a modest to average production level.
Hygienists at Beausejour Dental Centre have consistently demonstrated the ability to achieve higher monthly production levels, often $30,000 or more per month at similar clinical hours, through efficiency, patient flow, and effective scheduling.
At these higher production levels, the effective hourly rate approaches and may exceed $60 per hour. Higher earnings are not guaranteed and depend on individual performance and clinical efficiency; however, the compensation structure is designed to reward increased productivity in a transparent and measurable way.
